She was AMAZING. Though I have watched performances of hers on television and am familiar with alot of her charactrs-seeing her live made me laugh, cry and feel blessed to be there.

My name is Richard Martinez, and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Laguna Shanti, an HIV/AIDS outreach agency here in Laguna Beach, California. Our volunteers contribute an enormous portion of their time and efforts in assisting with various aspects of our programs. They are amazing people who donate their time to make our Meals on Wheels program, Buddy and Companion program, Complementary Therapy program, and Newsletter Folding work so well. I ditched class a lot and didn't want to go to school but then I read a Bette book my brother bought me for my 14th birthday and I realized that I was messing my life up. The only one I could blame was myself. So I went back to school and worked very hard for a long time. I just recently finsihed high school on Dec. 18, 2002 and I feel very proud of myself, and I wanted Bette to know what an inspiration she is to me and how much I love her for that inspiration.
